“Old Dog” takes us to the darker corners of Itos Ledesma’s psyche with an elevated dose of recklessness so primal and natural that it brings more good than harm. It has the acerbic bite of Yurei and the experimental excess of his other project Maldoror, pulling out all the stops to deliver noisecapes of the godsend kind. Unlike majority of his peers, Ledesma is capable of giving way to chaos that is defined more by rawness than entitled clumsiness. And on his latest release, the manic confessional that drives this glorious mess to madness hurls forward to unexpectedly rewarding places, leaving detractors out of the gate. Stream:
