There’s nothing like Bandwagon.Asia in the internet: a reliable online hub that actively promotes the rich and diverse music landscape of the Southeast Asian region and its potential to make a dent in the international market. For starters, they are Singapore’s biggest music media brand, and they have expanded their reach to the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.

Being the go-to platform in connecting people through concerts and gigs, Bandwagon also hosts an annual show that promises a great day of live music, flea-marketing, art, food, games, and other related interests that aim to showcase local and regional culture. Enter Bandwagon Music Market—a one-day event that started out in Singapore, and is now being celebrated here in the Philippines for the first time.

Unfolding quite like a music festival of some sort but on a more intimate and grassroots scale, Bandwagon has prepared a well-curated showcase of music talents that have steered artistry to interesting heights. “We’ve carefully curated a line up which we feel will also represent our country well on the regional level,” says Camille, country representative for Bandwagon Philippines. “Some of the Filipino artists we have on the line up have already performed in Singapore. The rest are artists we can help push beyond the Philippines.”

Headlining the Bandwagon Music Market are internationally acclaimed electronic producer Eyedress, singer-songwriter/producer BP Valenzuela, Logiclub resident beatmaker CRWN, art-rock outfit Beast Jesus, math instrumentalists Tom’s Story, nerd-rap trio Shadow Moses, modern rock collective Runway Crimes, indie-rockers Oh, Flamingo!, and folk maestro Bullet Dumas.

Bandwagon Music Market’s debut showcase will also feature the very best in the region, with Laneway Festival alum Intriguant and Singapore’s very own Inch Chua joining the local talents for a one-of-a-kind night that celebrates quality music in the Philippines and beyond.

The Bandwagon Music Market is on October 1, 2016 at Power Mac Center Spotlight (Level 2, Circuit Lane, Circuit Makati) from 3 PM to 12 MN. Tickets are available at bandwagonmusicmarket.peatix.com. For more information and updates regarding the event, visit www.bandwagon.asia.
