Celebrate a great day of live music and get involved at this year’s #FeteIndie2016 happening on June 18, Saturday at The Axon, Green Sun Hotel.
Third time’s a charm as music discovery platforms Ndfy.me, Vandals On The Wall and Doc Def Productions team up for three consecutive years to showcase the breadth and diversity of Filipino independent music scene in all its forms and iterations.
This year promises to be bigger and more vibrant than ever with artists coming together to support the initiative of keeping the scene alive and kicking.
Joining us at the independent stage are headline-worthy indie-rock champs Ang Bandang Shirley, Autotelic, Cheats, She’s Only Sixteen and The Ransom Collective; sleek soul/jazz/funk hybrids Conscious and the Goodness, Jensen and the Flips, Milesexperience, Farewell Fair Weather and Sud; singer-songwriter chanteuses Reese Lansangan, Coeli and The SunManager; post-rock outfits Tide/edit and Tom’s Story; socio-political hip-hop ensemble BLKD and the Tooters; and electro-pop wunderkinds Serif and Skymarines.
The #FeteIndie2016 team will also be working side by side with Fete dela Musique – Rock Stage, headed by the folks at Red Ninja Productions. They will be occupying the The Eye (upper floor) of Green Sun Hotel to cater to punk, alternative, metal, post-hardcore, progressive, and modern rock tastes.
Doors open at 2pm, and show starts at 2:30 pm. RSVP here to receive updates and news about the upcoming summer solstice shindig. Admission is free!
#FeteIndie2016 is supported by gracious brand sponsors and partners: Jack Daniel’s Philippines, JB Music, Gabi Na Naman Productions, Sudio, FiiO, Bratpack, Eastpak, Satchmi, and Wip Caps.
The event is part of Fete de la Musique—an annual music showcase that’s been celebrated in 120 countries all over the world. Here in the Philippines, it will be held simultaneously in several main and pocket stages across Makati City and Intramuros.
